The Secretary General of the "People's Nasserist Organization," MP Osama Saad, confirmed after his meeting with Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri at the second presidential palace in Ain al-Tineh that "what happened in the Ain al-Hilweh camp is serious and definitely requires follow-up. The ceasefire is still fragile, and we are monitoring the investigations to determine responsibility for what occurred. We also emphasize handing over the wanted individuals to the Lebanese authorities, in addition to addressing the damages resulting from these events in the Ain al-Hilweh camp that affected both Lebanese and Palestinians. All these issues were under discussion with President Berri." He pointed out that "we must pay attention to the importance of addressing them so that such events do not recur, hence paying a high price for our security in the city of Sidon, the security of the Lebanese nation, and also the security of the Palestinian people, which we care about equally. This is what was discussed today with Berri."
Additionally, Berri reviewed the general situation, particularly the security aspects, during his meeting with Acting Director General of General Security, Major General Elias Bechara.
