Volunteers from the National Coalition for Civil and Development Work organized a solidarity protest with the Palestinian people in front of the Rafah border crossing. The volunteers expressed their "rejection of the brutal aggression against the people of Palestine and their determination to continue providing humanitarian aid." Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi mentioned that "Egypt is making every sincere effort to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip." During his visit to the Police Academy on Friday, the Egyptian president added that "Egypt seeks to deliver the largest amount of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip." Sisi continued: "There has been a warning against using starvation as a weapon in the Gaza war, and we affirm our commitment to keep the Rafah crossing open. Egypt is keen on establishing a Palestinian state that lives peacefully alongside Israel."
