Erdogan: Netanyahu is the Sole Responsible for the Latest Tension in the Middle East

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated today, Tuesday, that "Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli leadership alone bear the responsibility for the latest escalation in tension in the Middle East." He said this during a press conference in Ankara following a cabinet meeting: "Israel is trying to ignite a regional conflict, and its attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus is the latest example." Erdogan added that new regional conflicts are likely as long as "brutality and genocide" continue in the Gaza Strip, calling on all parties to act wisely. He also criticized the West for condemning Iran's attack while failing to denounce Israel's attack on the Iranian embassy.
