Title: Monterrey Eliminates Inter Miami from Concacaf Champions Cup Despite Messi's Participation

Mexican team Monterrey qualified for the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup after defeating American team Inter Miami, led by Argentine star Lionel Messi, 3-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinals and 5-2 on aggregate. Monterrey's goals were scored by Brandon Vazquez, Argentine Germán Berterame, and Jesús Gallardo, while Paraguayan player Diego Gómez netted the lone goal for the American team.

Inter Miami dominated possession throughout the match but failed to pose any threat to Monterrey's goalkeeper, Argentine Esteban Andrada, which the hosts capitalized on to open the scoring in the first half. In his first official match in Mexico, Messi could not lead his team to qualification, only featuring with a powerful shot in the 25th minute.

Monterrey will face Columbus Crew, the MLS champions, in the semifinals after they advanced by defeating Tigres UANL of Mexico on Tuesday.
