It appears that U.S. President Joe Biden, who often presents himself in a calm and composed manner during press appearances and even in his electoral campaigns, is not as restrained as he seems. Sources reveal that Biden has referred to his staunch Republican rival, Donald Trump, using vulgar words and obscene phrases in private sessions and behind closed doors. He has reportedly called Trump repeatedly in front of his old friends and close aides as a sick, deranged person, a silly fool who revels in the misfortunes of others, using much more vulgar language, according to Politico.
The White House declined to comment on these allegations. Chris Lasavita, a senior advisor to Trump's campaign, considered it shameful that Biden does not publicly and privately respect the presidency. However, he also saw it as "not surprising that the swindler Joe does not respect the 45th president of the United States in the same way he does not respect the American people through his failed policies."
This information contradicts the traits or image that Biden often portrays, particularly as someone keen on reducing incivility and tension in the country's political scene. However, it reveals the level of anger and tension that has built up in Biden towards the man who previously ousted him from office during the 2020 presidential election and whom he may face again, in an increasingly tense atmosphere.
Biden had been significantly disturbed previously by Trump's actions, which he considered as encouragement of violence in the country, following the storming of the Capitol by Trump's supporters on January 6, 2021. His disgust for the former president seems to have increased in recent months, as Trump tightened his grip on the Republican nomination. Recent polls show that Trump is leading over candidate Nikki Haley, thus moving towards officially securing the party's nomination.
