An security source revealed today, Thursday, that a den of suspicious activities was raided, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals, mostly women, near Baqubah in Diyala Province. The source stated that "a joint security team raided a den of suspicious activities near Baqubah and arrested 10 individuals inside, most of whom were women," noting that "the suspects were engaged in immoral activities."

He added that "there are strict orders to prevent the existence of black dens," referring to homes used for immoral activities, emphasizing that there will be no leniency in light of citizens' complaints. The source indicated that "this was not the first such raid; similar actions have occurred in other areas over the past months, and all legal measures have been taken," confirming that "protecting society from deviants is a priority under the principles of the law."

Earlier, the District Mayor of Baqubah, Abdullah al-Hayali, called for a new campaign against outlaws in the province. Al-Hayali stated that "the problems in Diyala are not limited to gunfire and assassinations; there are also violations of the law that must be addressed, and all complex and sensitive files should be opened, as they will lead to respect for the state’s authority and end the unhealthy dominance exerted by some over the state’s resources." He emphasized the importance of having a new campaign against outlaws in Diyala.
