Iran: Launch of Long-Range Naval Ballistic Missile

The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, General Hossein Salami, announced on Tuesday that a long-range ballistic missile was successfully launched from a warship as part of a joint operation between the aerospace and naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard, according to the official Iranian news agency "IRNA." Salami stated that this new achievement has "increased our influence and naval power to any required point," as reported by the Iranian agency. He added, "We will demonstrate appropriate and strong reactions to any conspiracy or action, and our strength and will are completely ready and prepared on the stage." He further stated, "Our defensive and offensive naval capabilities, possessing a large number of drones, cruise missiles, and even highly accurate ballistic missiles, along with the ability to target combat ships at sea, constitute a highly complex and intertwined set of modern and advanced capabilities," according to "IRNA." He pointed out that "other capabilities possessed by the Navy of the Revolutionary Guard allow our ocean-crossing ships to be present anywhere in the oceans, and when we are able to launch missiles from them, there is no safe place for any force that seeks to disrupt our security."
