Egyptian and U.S. Foreign Ministers Confirm Rejection of Any Military Operations in Rafah

Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid stated in a statement that Shoukry received a call from Blinken on Friday regarding the developments of the Gaza Strip crisis and its regional repercussions. The spokesman added that the two ministers emphasized their rejection of any Israeli ground military operations in Rafah, especially given the grave humanitarian consequences of such actions and their serious repercussions on the security and stability of the region. The Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated Egypt's firm rejection of attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their lands, given the goal of liquidating the Palestinian cause contained in such actions, which constitutes a serious violation of international law.
