Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the military uniform of one of the winners of the Leaders of Russia competition, saying, “The military uniform suits you.” A clip of Putin has garnered attention after he complimented the soldier, asking, “Has anyone ever told you that the military uniform looks beautiful on you?”
The winner of the Leaders of Russia competition spoke in her speech before Putin, saying: “We witnessed the destruction at the beginning of 2022, including Mariupol, and how life is returning now, some places faster than others, depending on their distance from the front line.” She added, “As a coordinator for children's health from the Russian Ministry of Health, I see how many children there are, how they are learning, and whether they are going to school or not. Here, there are deputy governors of the new regions, and we have indeed worked together a lot and discussed the issue of returning children; with them, life returns.” To this, Putin responded, “Has anyone told you that the military uniform suits you very well?”
