The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that it detected 22 Chinese aircraft around the island in less than three hours. The ministry stated in a statement released around noon, "We detected activities of 22 aircraft from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army," noting that 12 of them crossed the median line in the Taiwan Strait.
