On Monday evening, Lebanon's junior volleyball team departed for Saudi Arabia to participate in the first West Asia Championship for males under 19, organized by the Saudi Volleyball Federation in Jeddah between August 15 and 25, 2023. The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, while Group B consists of Bahrain, the UAE, Syria, and Kuwait.
The Lebanese delegation comprises:
- Ghassan Qzeihah, Vice President of the Federation: Head of the delegation.
- Dr. Eli Moussa, Director of National Teams: Team Manager.
- Hanna Zeilah, Head of Referees Committee: Administrator.
- Djouni El Lakis: Coach.
- John Abou Joude: Assistant Coach.
The players are: Hadi Shbib (Team Captain), Eli Barakat, Serge Shahab, Miguel Al-Hawa, Bassam Qzeihah, Jad Abi Karam, Hussein Al-Qass, Mahmoud Al-Hajj, Abed Rabu Khodor Al-Qaqour, Mohammad Bou Chekra, Anthony Jaja, and Marvin Al-Najar.
Accompanying the delegation is Elias Wahi, a member of the Referees Committee in the West Asia Federation and an international referee supervising the championship.
