A traffic accident involving two vehicles transporting students and teachers heading to their schools in Al-Jawwah, Al-Makhwah Governorate, in southern Saudi Arabia, resulted in several injuries. Nine individuals were injured in the accident, including six teachers, students, and the drivers of the two vehicles, with injuries ranging from moderate to severe.
The spokesperson for the Red Crescent in Al-Baha, Imad Al-Mansi, revealed that an emergency call was received at 7:13 AM reporting a collision in Al-Makhwah specifically in Al-Jawwah. Immediately, four emergency response teams from the Red Crescent were dispatched along with a field commander, as well as two ambulance teams from the health sector.
Upon the arrival of the first emergency team at the accident site, it was confirmed that there were nine injuries that were managed according to established emergency protocols. There were five moderate injuries, three minor injuries, and one severe injury, all of whom were transported to Al-Makhwah General Hospital.
Al-Mansi added that the emergency teams responded within 13 minutes from the time the report was received, managing the emergency response effectively on-site. The authority emphasized the need to quickly call 997 or use the "As'afni" and "Tawakkalna" applications in case of any emergency and to avoid crowding to facilitate the work of the Red Crescent personnel.
