The Saudi ambassador to the Netherlands, Ziyad Al-Otaibi, emphasized that there is no justification for Israeli practices in the Palestinian territories. In his speech today, Tuesday, before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, he stated, "The ongoing Israeli occupation has led to horrific consequences," adding that "there is an international consensus on the illegitimacy of the Israeli occupation." He further noted that "Israel has increased the pace of settlement and turns a blind eye to attacks by settlers."
He pointed out that "Israel's rejection of the two-state solution confirms its intention to deprive Palestinians of their rights." He stated, "We reject any justification for the killing of thousands of innocent people and their displacement from Gaza," adding that the region has "turned into a place of death due to the ongoing Israeli aggression." He also mentioned that senior officials in Israel openly threaten the people of Gaza with death and extermination.
For his part, the South African ambassador to the Netherlands, Vosimuzi Madonsela, stressed that the establishment of a Palestinian state is the permanent solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Madonsela stated in his speech before the International Court of Justice that all Israeli settlements must be dismantled and the two-state solution must be implemented.
