Title: Arrest of Counterfeit US Dollar Distributor in Zouk Mosbeh

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the fight against crime across various Lebanese territories by the Judicial Police Unit within Internal Security Forces, information was received by the special group in the mentioned unit about a person in a 'Skoda' vehicle distributing counterfeit US dollars to several stores in the town of Zouk Mosbeh. On November 25, 2023, after monitoring and tracking, a force from the group set up a tight ambush and stopped the vehicle driven by the person identified as J. D. (born in 1979, Lebanese). They seized counterfeit currency amounting to /500/ US dollars in his possession. The arrested individual was handed over to the Office for the Fight Against Financial Crimes and Money Laundering to carry out the necessary legal procedures, acting upon the order of the relevant judiciary."
