Arrest of a Gang Trading in Girls in Baghdad

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Wednesday, that intelligence officers arrested a gang composed of 6 individuals, after monitoring information indicating the existence of a gang trading in girls and exploiting them for unethical purposes in Baghdad.

The ministry stated in its announcement that "an intelligence task force was immediately formed, and field monitoring was conducted. After confirming the validity of the information, the necessary judicial approvals were obtained, and all suspects were arrested in the act."

According to the statement, girls being exploited for unethical purposes for financial gain were seized from their possession, their statements were recorded as confessions, and they were referred to the relevant authorities.
