An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale occurred in the Aegean Sea today, Friday, off the shores of the Seferihisar region in Izmir province, western Turkey. According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at 11:02 AM (Turkey time), at a depth of 6.97 km. AFAD noted that the "epicenter of the earthquake is located 27.65 km from the Seferihisar region," with no reports of damages received.
