Artist Ahmed Helmy and producer Hamdi Badr are preparing to present a new play titled "Teet" as part of the fourth edition of Riyadh Season, which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at Abu Bakr Al-Shadi Theater. Helmy shared the poster for his new show on his official Instagram account, stating: "The play Teet from Riyadh Season at Abu Bakr Al-Shadi Theater starting February 6, hope you like it."
Ahmed Helmy stars in the play alongside Hanaa El-Zahid, Hamdi Murghany, and Mohamed Radwan, with the script written by Diaa Mohamed, produced by Hamdi Badr, and directed by Hisham Atwa.
It is worth noting that Helmy previously performed the play "Mimo" last year during Riyadh Season, which was attended by many stars and praised by numerous critics and media personalities in the Kingdom, especially since it marked Helmy's return to theater after a 20-year absence. His last theatrical work was "Hakim Ayoun" with the late artist Alaa Waleed Al-Din and star Karim Abdel Aziz. The play was also presented in Jeddah, Abha, and Taif, achieving similar success.
Recently, Ahmed Helmy revealed initial details about his new film and a dramatic work that is set to be filmed after the end of the Egyptian TV series season for Ramadan 2024. During his appearance on the program "Sold Out," he mentioned that he has started preparing for a film that will begin filming soon, which belongs to the psychological genre addressing children's issues and complexes. Regarding the lack of dramatic works, Ahmed Helmy confirmed that he will present a work in the near future that will be a surprise.
