Video: Zookeeper's Mistake Nearly Causes Disaster as Gorilla Chases Two Women at Zoo

A video has surfaced showing a gorilla chasing two zookeepers at a zoo in America. In the TikTok clip shared online, one zookeeper is seen desperately trying to escape from a 34-year-old silverback gorilla. The sounds of other zookeepers can be heard gasping as they call for help to assist the two women. The zoo explained to DailyMail.com: "Every day, zookeepers move the gorillas to their indoor habitat so that they can prepare the animals' food in the outdoor habitat, but that did not happen that day. Due to a mistake by the zookeeper, staff entered the enclosure unaware that the gorilla was still outside." They added, "Thanks to their knowledge and experience, they managed to handle the situation calmly and safely exit the enclosure." The video depicts one zookeeper hiding behind a tree while the gorilla stares at her, leading to a standoff. Eventually, the gorilla backed off, allowing the second zookeeper to safely run to a secure area behind a closed door, where the first woman was hiding.
