A Prohibited Clause Threatens Haaland's Transfer to Real Madrid

Manchester City striker, Norwegian Erling Haaland, is linked with a future move to Real Madrid. Haaland increased his ties to the club when asked about Real Madrid, responding that he does not know what will happen in his future. Some reports suggest that if Haaland bows to Manchester City’s pressure and agrees to renew his contract, his agent Rafaela Pimenta will ensure that a new clause is in place that allows Real Madrid to maneuver their way into securing the deal.

The newspaper AS stated: "We have learned from informed sources that Haaland owns 100% of his image rights with Manchester City." It added: "This situation is prohibited at Real Madrid, which is the main source of the controversy between the Merengues and Kylian Mbappe regarding the completion of the deal." It concluded: "Since the era of great stars, Real Madrid divides image rights 50-50 with all its players, even during Cristiano Ronaldo's time, because players also benefit from the fame of playing for the best team in history, which grants them greater economic returns."
