Crime Rates in Lebanon Show Notable Decline

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces has circulated a statistical table regarding some significant crimes (murder, robbery, car theft, aggravated theft, pickpocketing, etc.) committed during the first four months of 2023 (January, February, March, and April), indicating a notable decline compared to the same months of the previous year. During this period, 4,218 people were arrested. In this context, citizens were urged to "exhibit a sense of responsibility by cooperating and reporting any crimes they witness to the emergency number (112), and to diligently adhere to and respect existing laws, as security is a shared responsibility."
