In a gesture to prevent the broadcast of sensitive information live, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi requested to halt the television broadcast while answering a question directed at his ministers and aides regarding the automation of hospitals. During the inauguration of the Data and Government Computing Center on the Ain Sokhna Road east of Cairo, Sisi asked his aides and ministers about the required costs for automating public hospitals as well as for health insurance, which includes patient rules and data linked centrally. The ministers confirmed that it would incur substantial costs amounting to billions of dollars. The ministers hesitated to disclose the required figure, prompting the president to insist on its disclosure, assuring them it would remain confidential and asking television crews to stop the broadcast. Immediately, the television ceased the broadcast and resumed shortly after the ministers had disclosed the required figures.
