White House Announces Opening Date for "Floating Gaza Dock"

The White House announced today, Sunday, that the floating dock being constructed by the United States to facilitate increased aid to the Gaza Strip will begin operations within a few weeks. However, it will not replace land routes, which are considered the best means of delivering food supplies to the region. Last week, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, stated that the U.S. military commenced the construction of a floating dock aimed at expediting aid delivery. Kirby stated that the floating platform, intended to bring more food and other necessities to Gaza, will assist, but within limits.
