British Foreign Secretary David Cameron met with his counterparts from Arab and Islamic countries in London on Wednesday to discuss the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), following an agreement between the two sides for a ceasefire in Gaza lasting at least four days. Cameron stated, "We discussed how to leverage this step to move forward in thinking about the future and how we can build a peaceful future that provides security for Israel as well as peace and stability for the Palestinians." Britain stated that the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the Palestinian Authority, Turkey, Indonesia, and Nigeria, along with the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the Ambassador of Qatar, attended the meeting.
