Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi delivered a speech during the 41st session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia, emphasizing that "Lebanon is a country of stability, it does not want war. The Lebanese believe in legitimacy and rely on security and security personnel to achieve safety, our collective safety." Mawlawi stated, "Our Arab nations have long suffered from crises or conflicts, but they emerge victorious through Arab solidarity. We have defeated terrorist organizations and their dangers from our Arab lands, yet some parts of Lebanon have again fallen prey to Israeli brutality that targeted the innocent and children in their safety while they rely on legitimacy, both Arab and international, and in Lebanon." He continued, "In an era where crime has become transnational, I say that our Arab security is shared, and our efforts are unified and collective to protect our communities. We affirm this to our people and to our Arab brothers, especially in the Gulf Arab states. Lebanon will not be a base for unleashing evil or for harboring or facilitating any type of hostility; Lebanon preserves everyone, and everyone preserves Lebanon."
