The White House announced this evening, Saturday, that "President Joe Biden has shortened his weekend vacation and returned to Washington to consult with his national security team regarding concerns about an Iranian strike on Israel." Biden's team stated in a release that "the president is returning to the White House this afternoon to consult with his national security team about developments in the Middle East." The statement added that "President Biden cut his weekend trip to Delaware to return to the White House this afternoon to consult with his national security team regarding events in the Middle East." Biden had predicted on Friday that Iran would retaliate "sooner rather than later," and earlier this week he stated that Tehran "threatens to launch a major attack."
