According to Zhongguo Ribao Wang, China has successfully launched a significant satellite tasked with studying the Earth's atmosphere. The Yunhai-3 02 Star satellite was launched at 6:51 local time (1:51 Moscow time) on Wednesday, March 27, using a modified version of the Long March 6 launch vehicle from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province. It was announced that "the Yunhai-3 02 Star satellite, built by the Chinese Academy of Space Science and Technology, has reached its orbit and will be used for atmospheric and marine studies, space environment monitoring, disaster prevention, and scientific experiments." The modified Long March 6 rocket is considered a new generation of China's medium-lift launch vehicles. The total length of the rocket is approximately 50 meters, weighing about 530 tons, and it can carry more than 4.5 tons to a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 700 kilometers. It is noteworthy that this marks the 514th launch of the Long March rockets.
