Turkish Trade Minister Omar Bulat announced today, Thursday, that Turkey has become the fastest-growing economy among the G20 and the OECD during the third quarter of this year. Bulat stated that the Turkish economy has maintained its high growth performance for 13 consecutive quarters, with a GDP increase of 5.9 percent during the mentioned period. He noted that the Turkish economy achieved a growth rate of 4.7 percent in the first nine months of the current year. He said, "Turkey became the fastest-growing economy among the G20 and OECD countries in the third quarter." He added, "Through policies aimed at increasing investment, production, and exports, we aim to enhance overall financial stability by ensuring a lasting improvement in the current account in the upcoming period, as well as maintaining sustainable high growth." It is worth mentioning that the Turkish economy recorded a growth rate of 5.9 percent in the third quarter of 2023, according to official data released on Thursday.
