Etihad Airways announced today, Friday, the preliminary results for passenger traffic on its flights for February 2024, welcoming over 1.4 million guests, with an average load factor of 89% throughout the month. Antonioaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated: "In February, we witnessed a 46% year-over-year growth in passenger numbers as we continue to implement our growth strategy. The number of passengers during January and February of this year reached approximately 2.9 million, representing a 40% increase compared to the figures recorded during the same period in 2023." He added, "In February 2024, we experienced many developments, having strengthened our fleet with the addition of 3 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, a move aligned with our strategy to expand our network by adding new destinations and increasing flight frequency to key markets." He continued, "We announced the launch of flights to two new destinations this year: Antalya in Turkey and Jaipur in India, marking the 11th direct destination we operate between Abu Dhabi and the Indian subcontinent. We are also proud to announce our partnership with the Chennai Super Kings cricket team from India, reinforcing our commitment to the Indian market."
