The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Thursday: "Based on complaints received by the Baakline Judicial Detachment in the Police Judicial Unit, submitted by victims who were subjected to fraud by an unidentified individual through the 'Messenger' application, the detachment members conducted a thorough investigation, managed to identify the suspect, and arrested him on 5-12-2023 in the town of Ain Wazin in Chouf. He is identified as S. F. (born in 1989, Lebanese) who confessed to using two fictitious names, Rawi Abu Ayyash or Sam Abu Ayyash, on an account named 'SAM SAM' on 'FACEBOOK'. He misled his victims with fraudulent operations, claiming he could provide them job opportunities in Germany or invest their money and jewelry for profit. A review of his mobile phone revealed that many individuals were victims of his fraudulent activities. Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is disseminating his image based on the judiciary's instructions and requests that those who fell victim to his actions visit the mentioned detachment located in Baakline - Chouf or call one of the following numbers: 300216-25 or 300187-25 in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions."
