UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti stated today that "the military peacekeepers of UNIFIL remain in their positions and are carrying out their tasks, as are our civilian staff." He confirmed that "the work of UNIFIL continues, including patrols, as well as supply and logistics convoys and troop rotations, both inside and outside Lebanon." Tenenti added, "The safety and security of UN personnel and their families is our priority." He explained that "in October 2023, UNIFIL decided, as a precaution, to relocate the families of its civilian staff to reside outside the area of operations, including Tyre."
