America: Hamas is an Obstacle to Hostage Agreement

Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, stated on Monday that "Israel has made significant progress, but Hamas is the barrier to reaching an agreement that could lead to a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages." Miller added in a press conference that "the United States continues to seek an agreement." In this context, the U.S. State Department announced that "the United States strongly condemns the killing of Israeli boy Benjamin Achimeir in the occupied West Bank and is increasingly concerned about the violence against Palestinians and their property that followed his death."
