Minister of Communications Johnny Al-Qarm explained that the outage in the "Alpha" network was due to the "Ogero Central" in the Fetqa area, which supplies the Adma region center with the necessary internet, electricity, and data. Al-Qarm noted that the "Alpha" telecommunications company has three main centers in Lebanon: Adma, Libatel, and Adlieh. He stated that the issue that arose yesterday was that when Adma was unable to meet the communication network's needs, the pressure shifted to the other centers, which could not handle the volume of data. Al-Qarm announced that the primary problem is related to the employees' strike at the "Fetqa Central," confirming that he sent a letter to the "Ogero" authority requesting an investigation into this matter to ensure there is no intent among employees to disrupt the public sector, which could endanger national interests. This would necessitate referring the case to the judiciary, and the Ministry of Communications is awaiting the authority's report.
