Mikati Replaces Emergency Cabinet Session Tomorrow with "Consultative Meeting"

Prime Minister Najib Mikati informed the ministers that he is about to invite them to an emergency Cabinet session tomorrow to discuss current developments, with the timing of the session to be determined later. Prime Minister Mikati stressed the importance of all ministers attending the session during this critical national period. The following was issued by the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Mahmoud Makiyeh: "Feeling the national responsibility and the need to gauge the opinions of most ministers and listen to them, especially in this delicate situation the country is facing, the Prime Minister decided to replace the Cabinet session originally scheduled for tomorrow morning with a consultative meeting to be held on the same date, at the same place and time as the scheduled session."
