Member of the "Democratic Gathering," MP Bilal Abdullah, clarified that "the Democratic Gathering is focused on finding ways to provide at least temporary solutions to secure the start of the school year in public schools and the Lebanese University, as well as the minimum requirements for hospitals and medicines, at least to maintain the remaining support for cancer patients and those with chronic diseases." He stated, "We are awaiting the Cabinet's decisions on the recommendations that we previously submitted." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he revealed "temporary solutions to support the continuity of military and security institutions for at least the next three months, ensuring food, medical care, fuel, and maintenance supplies." He emphasized that "any root solutions are primarily political, necessitating the election of a president of the republic, the formation of a working and rescue government, and a parliamentary council to legislate for significant and effective decisions." He pointed out that "despite the increase in customs dollars, there is a collection crisis in the country, as capitalists are not paying, and tax evasion has been a characteristic of the Lebanese economy for decades, and this has worsened today with the weakening of the state and its institutions."
