The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, announced today, Saturday, that "as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to curb drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese areas, the special unit of the judicial police was tasked with monitoring the activities of armed drug dealers in the airport road area."
It was reported that a team from the special unit arrested two individuals in a Kia Picanto vehicle in the airport road area - Burj al-Barajneh. The arrested individuals were identified as M. S. (born in 1993, Lebanese) and H. (born in 1980, Lebanese), caught in the act of selling drugs to two clients, identified as S. Q. (born in 1977, Lebanese) and B. Q. (born in 1986, Lebanese), who were also arrested.
The authorities confiscated: "one military pistol with 15 bullets, 118 envelopes containing cocaine, 9 bags of hashish, and 4 bags of marijuana."
The detainees and the confiscated items were handed over to the Central Anti-Narcotics Bureau for further investigation, based on judicial directions.
