IAEA: No Evidence of Iran Possessing Nuclear Weapons

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, announced that "the agency has not seen any evidence of Iran possessing nuclear weapons." Grossi told reporters yesterday, Monday, that "the accumulation of enriched uranium to very high levels does not automatically mean the existence of nuclear weapons." He added: "The agency does not have any information or evidence regarding nuclear weapons in Iran." He pointed out that the IAEA tells Iran that "the accumulation of nuclear materials at levels close to or almost identical to nuclear weapon levels raises questions within the international community," adding that "therefore, we always urge them to cooperate with us fully."
