"Million Poet" - Who is Falah Al-Badri, the Poet Assassinated in Iraq? (Video)

A bullet took the life of Iraqi poet Falah Al-Badri early this Sunday morning, writing the final verse in the journey of an artist many cherished. Falah Al-Badri, aged 53, was born in Dhi Qar province, southern Iraq, and gained fame among fans of popular and Nabati poetry.

Al-Badri participated multiple times in the Million Poet competition in Abu Dhabi, where he won the title. He enjoyed immense popularity both in Iraq and abroad, participated in numerous poetry events, and received literary awards. The poet drew inspiration for his poems from his daily life and interactions with relatives and friends, which captivated his followers.

In a previous video, Al-Badri revealed that he had no money, and was saved by his daughter who gave him her jewelry to sell to cover hospital costs.
