Title: Cell Phones Seized in Batroun Prison

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "During an attempt by an individual named F. F. (born in 1996, Lebanese) to smuggle two cell phones for inmate R. S. (born in 1985, Lebanese) at Batroun Prison within the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, prison personnel managed, in the act, and after close surveillance of the said F. F., to seize the two phones that were to be smuggled hidden inside a 'bath scrubber' tied with a black rope dangling from an opening overlooking the prison's outer yard. As a result of the investigation, it was found that inmate R. S. had obtained the phone from inmate A. H. (born in 2000, Lebanese), and communicated through it with F. F., requesting him to deliver the two phones to the prison facility. Legal action was taken against them, and they were referred along with the seized items to the relevant authority, based on the prosecutor's directive."
