Video: Bear Killed After Getting Its Head Stuck in Metal Container in Russia

A bear that got its head stuck in a metal container was shot dead near the village of Barabash in the Primorye region after rescue attempts failed. The decision to shoot the animal was made in collaboration with hunters from the hunting oversight agency "Okhot Nadzor", after the bear attempted to attack people.

A spokesperson for the agency told the Russian news agency "Novosti": "The bear climbed onto one of the buildings in the coastal village of Barabash, then approached people to attack them, so the hunting oversight agency decided to shoot it."

It is noteworthy that inspectors from the hunting oversight agency, police officers, and staff from the "Land of the Leopard" National Park had been searching for the bear since the end of August. Residents returning from the Kamchatka Peninsula spotted the poor bear and were able to film it as it wandered along the road, seemingly hoping for help from people.

On September 12, the bear was filmed again, showing it walking along the river with the container still stuck on its head.
