Car Theft and Drug Acquisition

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat various types of crime, information was received by the Beirut Crime Investigation Unit regarding an unidentified individual who frequently visited the Shatila camp for the purpose of acquiring drugs. Through monitoring and surveillance, a patrol from the unit ambushed him in the Ardeh Jalloul / New Road area, managing to apprehend him while he was in a stolen Mercedes car that carried different plates. The individual, identified as Sh. A. (born in 1995, Lebanese), is wanted by the judiciary for several criminal warrants including vehicle theft, burglary, and vandalism. Additionally, a quantity of hashish and marijuana, a blade, two syringes for drug use, $50 in counterfeit bills, and three license plates were found in his possession. The arrested individual, along with the confiscated items and the vehicle, was handed over to the appropriate authorities based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary."
