The Supreme Islamic Judicial Council held a meeting chaired by the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, at the Dar al-Fatwa to discuss judicial matters in the Sunni and Jaafari religious courts, ensuring efficient work and activating judicial performance.
The Grand Mufti received the "Permanent Body for Supporting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa," represented by Judge Sheikh Ahmed Darwish Al-Kurdi, who revealed that "there will be a major weekly activity next week to support the Palestinian cause, whether at the level of associations, scouts, or scholars and muftis, to show the world that the entire Lebanese people are against the actions of the Zionist enemy occupying Palestinian land."
Mufti Daryan also discussed with former member of the Higher Islamic Council for Akkar, Ali Taless, issues related to Lebanon, the Israeli aggression on Gaza, as well as the religious, living, economic, and social conditions in the Akkar region.
