Controversy in Egyptian Artistic Circles... The Reason is Ruby

A state of controversy has arisen in recent hours following the release of the song "3 ساعات متواصلة" (3 Continuous Hours) by Egyptian artist Ruby. Opinions have been divided regarding the song, with some criticism coming from the audience due to its bold lyrics, where some see it as having sexual innuendos. A source from the Musicians' Syndicate stated that discussions took place among council members and Syndicate head Mustafa Kamel, concerning the debate sparked on social media about the song, with some expressing dissatisfaction with the lyrics.

An agreement was made with the head of the musicians to hold a meeting to discuss whether the song contains sexual implications. The song "3 ساعات متواصلة" has generated widespread debate on social media due to its lyrics that say: "In the first hour, I'll excite you... in the second hour, I'll entice you... in the third hour, I'll show you how my heart loves you." The song, written and composed by Aziz El Shafie and arranged by Touma, was released on Ruby's official YouTube channel. Its lyrics include: "Why don't we hide a little from people, from the darkness that has spread... from the critics who have meddled in our affairs so much... why don't we rest from the hardships... let's extinguish the fire of longing when the evening comes, I miss your light, oh moon."

Opinions have been split between those who found the song summery and light-hearted, and others who objected to its lyrics and the inappropriate implications it carries. Some also pointed out the absence of censorship on artistic works.
