Israeli police rescued National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from the "Beit Shlomo" hall in Jerusalem after he was surrounded by relatives of Israeli hostages and protesters who pushed his security detail and insulted him. Protests erupted in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv following the release of a video by Hamas featuring hostage Hirsch Goldberg-Bollin, who appeared with a severed hand, requesting "not to be forgotten and to be freed from captivity." During the demonstrations, protesters launched fireworks, overturned trash bins and barricades placed on the roads, and closed Bagan Street in Tel Aviv and Gaza Street and Agron Intersection in Jerusalem. After Ben Gvir was besieged, police arrested at least 4 protesters and used water cannons to disperse the march.
