The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "within the framework of the daily follow-up carried out by the specialized units in the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces to reduce the incidents of theft of electric cables from the public network of Electricité du Liban, the specialized units in the Information Branch intensified their patrols in areas where these incidents are prevalent, in order to arrest those involved. As a result of field monitoring and intelligence work, a gang was detected whose members were executing their operations in several areas of the Mount Lebanon Governorate.

Through extensive investigations and inquiries, the branch managed to identify the members of the gang, who are: M. F. (born in 1995, Syrian), A. M. (born in 1995, Syrian), and A. H. Simultaneously, the third was arrested in the Salomi area.

During the investigation, the first and second suspects confessed to having carried out more than five thefts of electrical cables from the public network of Electricité du Liban in the areas of Hazmieh, Sad al-Bouchrieh, Dora, and Jisr al-Basha. They indicated that they were selling the stolen goods to the third suspect, who works in a "scrap yard" in the Salomi area, and the latter also confessed to the accusations against him.
