The 28th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair in the Sultanate of Oman will begin on February 21 and continue until March 2, with the participation of 847 publishers from 34 countries. During a press conference, the fair's director, Ahmed bin Saud Al Rawahi, stated, "Egypt ranks first in terms of the number of participants, followed by Oman, then Lebanon and Syria." He added that "the titles listed on the fair's website reached 622,000, including approximately 268,000 Arabic books and 20,000 foreign books, while the Omani collection amounts to 19,000 books." He also noted that "the theme of this year's fair will be artificial intelligence, with numerous activities and events discussing it at the children's pavilion and other sections." The Al Dhahirah Governorate will be the guest of honor at this year's fair, in line with the fair's tradition of highlighting one of Oman's governorates to showcase its cultural heritage, history, and prominent creators.
