The Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, has departed for the Dominican Republic to attend a meeting organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) aimed at enhancing the utilization of aviation sector capabilities. This is part of Lebanon's commitment to adhering to international standards concerning public safety and air navigation in the airspace of Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut. He is expected to meet with the organization's Secretary-General Juan Carlos Salazar, its President Salvatore Sciacchitano, and many of his counterparts from member states.
