The spokesperson for the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, announced today that "the seaport being constructed by the U.S. military to expedite the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza will open within days despite the adverse weather conditions hindering preparations." Kirby stated in a press conference: "We all hope (that this will happen) within a matter of days."
