Footage shows the terrifying moment when 12-year-old Mohit Aher from Maharashtra, India, was casually browsing his phone when a wild predator entered the room. The child was relaxing inside an office at a wedding hall on Tuesday morning when he was surprised by a large, predatory leopard.
An impressive video of this moment went viral on social media as Mohit's "smart" escape was praised by viewers for his remarkable and courageous actions. The footage shows the boy engrossed in his phone, sitting on a chair facing the door. However, in a shocking turn of events, a huge leopard enters the room, seemingly unaware of Mohit.
After spotting the wild animal, Mohit quietly got off his seat while looking at the predator, and rushed towards the door as soon as the leopard was in a corner of the room, quickly shutting the door behind him. Mohit recalled bringing his phone with him as he escaped. Speaking to the Times of India, Mohit said, "The leopard was very close. There was no distance between me and the leopard. I was scared, but I quietly got down and sneaked out of the office. I closed the door behind me."
