Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued a new decision concerning officers, security personnel, and military mechanisms allocated to personalities in violation of the law. The letter states: "Referring to our previous letters addressed to the Minister of Interior and Municipalities regarding the matter of security personnel and military mechanisms allocated to personalities in violation of the law, we request that you immediately withdraw the officers, personnel, and mechanisms allocated to these personalities in violation of the law and applicable regulations, whether they are administratively affiliated with the concerned administration (Directorate of Personal Protection) or affiliated with the directorate's bureau or any department within it, which constitutes, if present, a circumvention of the law, with all the resulting consequences and responsibilities.
It is noted that 'any exceptions that may arise due to security reasons should be submitted to the Central Security Council for necessary actions to be taken and should be reported to the Prime Minister's office. A comprehensive and detailed report must be prepared by you, including all concerned personalities, the officers, personnel, and mechanisms allocated to them (from the Directorate of Personal Protection or its bureau or any other department within the directorate), along with the legal justification, within a maximum period of one month from this date.'"
