Judoka Natasha Tarbiah won a silver medal, while the Lebanese relay team in the 4x400 meters secured a bronze medal in the competitions held today (Friday) as part of the Francophonie Games hosted in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In judo, Tarbiah earned the silver medal in the over 78 kg category after losing to Marie Dorhon from Mauritius. This silver medal adds to the bronze previously awarded to her compatriot Aquilina Chaib.
In athletics, the Lebanese team, consisting of Nour Edin Hadid, Mohammed Murtada, Ali Murtada, and Mark Antonio Ibrahim, finished in third place with a time of 3:11.75 minutes in the relay. Meanwhile, Mark Antonio Ibrahim came in fourth in the men's 400m hurdles final, clocking 50.95 seconds. Azizah Sebeiti placed seventh in the women's 200m final with a time of 23.95 seconds. Nour Edin Hadid did not achieve his desired results in the 200m final, finishing eighth with a time of 20.95 seconds.
Culturally, Waseem Al-Qammouh did not find success in painting, despite the beauty of his artwork, and he did not place among the top three in the competition.
